What’s Happening at Hansbraun? May 2013 Edition

Things are moving at Hansbraun, and some great stuff is happening all around our Victoria commercial properties.

London Drugs at Saanich Centre is updating. Yes, a new London Drugs for your needs! But no worries, if the store is a regular stop, you can still go, since it’s open during the renovations. This is major modernization work, but you’ll have a spiffy store when it’s done!

We’re getting a new store at Saanich Plaza. We’re really happy to announce that a Dollarama will soon open at Saanich Plaza! It will be a 10,000 sq. ft. store right next to Save on Foods, so you can do all your shopping at the same practical spot.

Keep your bike secure at Royal Oaks. To encourage biking to work and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Victoria, we’ve recently added some secure bike storage for employees. No worries about leaving your bike on the rack anymore! We’re also working on installing showers so employees can freshen themselves up before heading to the office; this project is currently in its planning phase.

The Saanich Centre recycling program expands. Hansbraun cares about keeping its spaces as green as possible, and so we’ve just begun implementing our already successful Saanich Centre recycling program to our other properties. We encourage every tenant to decrease its carbon footprint by reducing the use of paper, by recycling materials as much as possible and by encouraging composting programs.

Kevin Nunn has made the team! As you probably know by now, we’ve been encouraging Kevin Nunn in his quest to get into the Cops for Cancer team. It’s official! Kevin will ride in the 2013 Tour de Rock! We’re so proud of you!

If you want to help Kevin in his fight against cancer, we’ll be holding a fundraising event at Royal Oak Shopping Centre in September. Stay tuned to our blog for more information!
